| Subject: Where do controls appear? Mon Jul 12, 2010 10:00 pm | |
| Hello, to you all,
I found Panoramic today and I find the siplicity amazing. Now I'm testing a bit. I have a question regarding forms and controls. I wonder how I can control, in which open form my f.e. edit-controls will be printed. At the moment I have opended two form and would like to insert some edit-controls into the front form. But they appear on the background form. How can I control that?
Thank you for your help.
Kind regards, Fordi | |

| I found it out. Before you create the control, simply send them via COMMAND_TARGET_IS N to the form you like. Easy, istn't it... if you know... or if I read the documention correctly.

| Welcome to the "panoramician" familly, that is the familly of PANORAMIC users. You found by yourself that the command to attach an object to a FORM is COMMAND_TARGET_IS N, N being the number of the FORM. In fact you have two possibilities: 1 - use COMMAND_TARGET_IS to attach a new object (here a button), if you create your object after - Code:
-
form 1:left 1,100 command_target_is 1 button 2 2 - use PARENT is you want to transfer an object already created to a new FORM: - Code:
-
form 1:left 1,100 button 2: rem the button is created on FORM0 wait 2000:rem so you have 2 seconds to see it on FORM0 parent 2,1: rem now, you transfer #2 to the FORM #1 Happy to help you. | |
