The next release of PANORAMIC V0.9.7, which is still in development, will have new features making easy the building of 2D-games:
There will be a new Windows object : a "SCENE2D" which is specialized for games. It can display a background picture and can receive SPRITES.
The SPRITES can be moved (of course), hidden, showed again, destroyed on the SCENE2D.
This new release will have keywords to handle directories and files, to sort items, to adapt a bitmap (STRETCH) in the Windows object PICTURE, to chain and unchain 3D objects, to change their transparency.
A major feature is the possibility to generate "BUILD" applications, that is an executable file containing all the files used by your program : if you build an application with text files (TXT) or picture files (BMP), all these files will be integrated in the executable to prevent somebody to catch them and to have only one executable to run : no need to distribute them, there are inside the EXE file.
This new release will be available in a few days ...
